Lia C Scott, PhD, MPH

Health Disparities Researcher | Spatial and Social Epidemiologist

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in the Division of Epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health.

I completed my post-doc as a Steven M. Teutsch Prevention Effectiveness (PE) Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control.

What drives my research is asking:

Why? and Where?

I'm passionate about integrating place and health using population based methods with a focus on the effect of structural racism on cancer outcomes, in order to progress towards health equity.
